The conference will be virtually held on September 8th, 2023 from 9:00am to 7:50pm EST.
This conference is a good fit for someone looking to dive head on into learning about group visits - specifically lessons from established experts in the field - but not for someone who is looking to learn the basics of GMVs. For those folks, we recommend our virtual facilitation training course running on the nights of October 25th and November 1st.
The mentorship block will include a variety of themed mentorship groups: Zoom breakout groups where attendees can learn from the advice of our mentors, experts in their respective fields. The mentorship block will be held in Zoom Tracks 1 and 2 from 4:30 to 5:05. You will be able to choose which breakout room to join, and will be able to join multiple mentorship groups within the 35 minute block. Mentors are attendees that have chosen to volunteer their time to offer advice about their specialty and members of our 2023 Conference Committee.
The current mentorship group offerings are:
These mentorships may be modified based on attendee interest indicated in the conference registration form.
Breakout sessions, or symposia, are formal scholarly presentations that bring new insights into a particular area of group visits. These sessions may have multiple presenters representing
different institutions. Workshop sessions are interactive sessions that focus on skill- building and demonstration.
We offer partial and full scholarships for those in need. We also provide discounts to our Circle of Friends and Sponsor organizations that they may choose to share with their employees.
The conference will be held on Zoom.
No, you can join the conference as a guest on Zoom.
